Pakistan is Using False Case Against Kulbhushan Jadhav To Defame Raw And Bend India On International Front

Kulbhushan Jadav

Way before the partition took place both, India and Pakistan, contested Kashmir fervently. When Hari Singh, the local monarch of Jammu and Kashmir chose to side with India Pakistan frustration reached its peak and let to the first war between India and Pakistan.

The major change since then has just been the change in warfare. Pakistan has learnt its lessons the hard way that war is not an option. In a recent statement the Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi reinstated that war is not an option with India and that only talks can resolve all outstanding issues including Kashmir. If we analyse closely it true Pakistan is using a very stubble but effective way to pressurise India to come on bargain table regarding Kashmir issue.

Pakistan has been testing limits of India by its destabilizing technique. It has incepted roots of tension in valley by supporting Islamic militancy and radicalization of the Kashmiri Muslim population creating legitimacy for figures like Burhan wani of Hizbul Mujahideen. This year Pakistan violated the ceasefire along the International Border and the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir more than 720 times, the highest in last seven years. It also tried to create communal tensions in the country by provoking the minorities to destabilise government. Release of Hafiz Saeed was another tease for India. All these acts were directed to pressurise India by making it feel helpless.

In the same light Pakistan has been trying hard to prove Indian intelligence agency has been trying to conspire against it. Recently too Pakistani Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said the “enemies of Pakistan” were using different tactics and propaganda to fail CPEC indicating India as the culprit. In its most in humanitarian scheme to defame and irritate India, it sentenced a naval officer Mr.Kulbhushan Jadhav to death row on April 10, 2017 accusing him for espionage and working for the India’s external intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

As per Pakistani records Mr. Kulbhushan Jadhav was arrested from Balochistan on March 3 last year. Though Pakistan has not been able to provide any concrete evidence against Mr. Jadhav accused of espionage. Pakistan even rejected request for consular access for Mr. Jadhav. With a great difficulty India was able to convince Pakistan for approving family visit to Mr. Jadhav, however, it was too a part of strategy to poke India, which is evident with the fact that Mr. Jadhav’s family was harassed by Pakistani officials.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said that “We note with regret that the Pakistani side conducted the meeting in a manner which violated the letter and spirit of our understandings,” As per the details Mr. Jadhav’s wife was asked to remove her ‘mangalsutra’, bindi and even her ‘shoe’ accusing for hiding a metal in it. This being the latest of its strategy to bend down India.

The discrepancy of this plot though now has a change to be unfolded. Statement given by Baloch leader Hyrbyair Marri has stated that Kulbhushan Jadhav was “never arrested from Balochistan”, in fact he was, “abducted from Iran by Pakistani state-sponsored religious proxies and handed over to Pakistani forces”, sheds a new light and paves way for strong case in international court of Justice.

We must use the opportunity to disclose Pakistan’ ugly plot to defame India and harass its citizens in International Court of Justice so it gets its lesson that testing limits can be equally lethal for its image on international forum. We have provided evidence of terrorism supported earlier and will not spare the opportunity to do it again.
