Bhagat Singh, the cheat who was meant to die

Bhagat Singh is one of India’s greatest freedom fighters. The youth of India was inspired by Bhagat Singh’s call to arms and enthused by the defiance of the army wing of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association to which he, Sukhdev and Rajguru, belonged. His call, Inquilab Zindabad! Became the war-cry of the fight for freedom. Undoubtedly, he desperately wanted our country’s independence, but the place he was lacking was in his ideas. The way he wanted to get independence was not justified.

Love always elevates the character of a man. It never lowers him, provided love be love. Yes it is said about him but did he really provided love? Sardar Bhagat Singh, being a 24 year old man was full of enthusiasm, but was not at all practical. He wanted to gain independence through violence, which is just not possible because West is militarily stronger and no one can compete with them if it comes to the armed forces. It is said that, as a child, Bhagat Singh often talked and wanted to grow guns in the fields, so that he could fight the British. Mahatma Gandhi, being much more experienced and practical was against militant nationalism movement that Bhagat Singh had started. India is well known for its culture and ideologies, then how can anyone forget all that and chose a path which is not meant for us to gain independence. It was right to execute Bhagat Singh; if he had not been executed, we would have never gained independence through violence and Britishers would be ruling over us. Or maybe worsen the situation the way it did it during the war between Russia and Afghanistan.  Where several small militant groups (freedom fighters) fought against Russians and other Western military forces and chased them away. But what happened in the aftermath. Each small militant group, started fighting with each other to gain control of Afghanistan, which even worsen the situation there. At that time, Britishers were definitely much more powerful than us when it comes to the armed forces. Could the situation be same with us? Don’t forget, When two groups are busy blowing up each other, people in the middle get tossed up.

Bhagat Singh fought for India and was in favour of violence, and was considered as terrorist by the Britishers. Nowadays, even Naxalism is a threat to India, but these people are also fighting for justice against government and are considered as a martyr by many. But whatever they are doing, they are doing for their own good. It depends on the perception of the people. Well, according to this theory, Bhagat Singh was the first Naxalite.

It is said that Mahatma Gandhi was the reason behind Bhagat Singh’s death. But in reality, Bhagat Singh knew that he cannot be saved from execution, so he took it as an opportunity and wanted Gandhi to be the reason of his death so that he stays in the heart of the people and gain sympathy. Gandhi gave his 100% in saving Bhagat Singh. He spoke to the Vice Roy about it, but Vice Roy replied ‘If you want, I can leave 1000 criminals but I cannot leave Bhagat Singh’.

Bhagat Singh, despite of being a Sikh, he shaved his beard and cut his hair. By doing such act, he is provoking other Sikhs to do the same as people blindly follow him. He was purely against his religion and was an atheist. A person who cannot be faithful to his religion can never be faithful to his country.

On April 8, 1929, Bhagat Singh and B.K. Dutt threw a bomb in the Central Legislative Assembly ‘to make the deaf hear’ as their leaflet described the reason for their actions. Although it is said the nobody was hurt by that explosion as Bhagat Singh had made that bomb himself. But how do we know, what his intention was.  May be he wanted to create a havoc in the minds of people to make a hold of himself.

Bhagat Singh was only 24 when he was executed. We won’t say that, we are against Bhagat Singh, but he was equally responsible for his execution and it is fair enough to execute him. Because in his presence, we could never gain that independence peacefully.  We can not win anyone or anything through violence. Non violence is the key to win anything in this world. Bhagat Singh may just want to gain the limelight and popularity through his actions.

  1. What the FUCK did I just read? “Bhagat Singh knew that he cannot be saved from execution, so he took it as an opportunity and wanted Gandhi to be the reason of his death so that he stays in the heart of the people and gain sympathy”

This is a shit article friends.

  2. I want to hurl choicest abuses at you Manpreet but alas I am no Kejrival. Learn something before putting it on internet because in most of the cases these are used against people who have vested interests.

  3. Shame
    Improve your English
    Improve your knowledge
    Or quit writing
Accusing a martyr of being an attention seeker, you aren’t any better.
If bhagat singh wouldn’t have been there, India would have been a British colony till now.
Freedom of speech kuch jada hi seriously le lia

  4. Utter piece of shit.
If you think he was against his religion, you are clearly ignoring the fact that his last wish was to have “amrit” from the golden temple. He shaved his hair and beard because his country was above EVERYTHING else.

  5. I am a Pakistani and a big fan pf Bhagat Singh and his sacrafices. You are purely shameless to write all this bullshit. I dont know where did you even get the guts to write this so heartless and shamelessly. You should get rid of this and straighten your facts.

  6. you cannot kill OSAMA BIN LADEN peacefully. The peace you described in your article has led the partition of India (PEACEFULLY). India and pakistan are still living peacefully!!!
    I love peace too.. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

    Peace out!!!

  7. “A person who cannot be faithful to his religion can never be faithful to his country” this statement of yours prove how dumb you are. You want to mix patriotism with religion, wow…you are sheer genius. There are countries without religion, so according to your brilliant logic they don’t love their country. The irony is how this website approved your scarp to publish.

  8. And talking about power of military england had been totally torned of in the world war2 they were unable to hold some more bhagat singh so they thought to leave the country in the hands of Indian british

  9. What benefit do we got from gandhian idea of freedom, bro we didnt got freedom it was transfer of power and the britishers had done whatever they wanted to do with our country, they partitioned our country, their companies are still in India their people have visa on arrival system , its due to gandhian ideology of freedom, when some body comes to you with a sword, you cant negotiate with him that dont cut my neck cut my hands and legs unless you are a gandhi and the britishers had done same thing.

  10. This is bull****………Bhagat Singh wanted to be heard by people and not just create violence…If he wanted to win independence by violence….he wouldn’t have gotten himslef arrested in first place….He wanted people to know how cruel British govt was….because many Indians were working for the govt then

  11. Throwing bombs could not get us freedom but after throwing facing trial and giving lessons to youth that they can only kill us nothing more could they do have inspired millions

  12. though all humans have some drawbacks b it gandhi or bhagat singh bt if we got independence with non violence why r armies posted on borders of china n pakistan?lets b nonviolent n see the results…….

  13. the writer must be a person who has no brain, the thought show how narrow minded u are such stupid comment about a great Leader of our country who sacrificed his life for us is shameful on your part .
You must be Knowing Gandhi Never met the voiceroi .so you are a stupid person with a cheep way of thinking.

  14. Tujhe(writer) ko koi gulam banaye, tera soshan kare, tujhe maare peete, tu. Kya karega. ????? Gandhi ki tarh hey ram hey ram karega…ya bhagat singh ji ki tarah himmat dikhayega…?????

  15. Dear writer…the fact that what you have written is all lies and a piece of shit can be proved by a single line in the second paragraph “Sardar Bhagat Singh, being a 24 year old man was full of enthusiasm, but was not at all practical”. Bhagat was 23 when he was hanged. Stop spreading lies about a national hero. People who are born in free India can’t relate to the oppression faced by the country under the British, so it gets easy for people like you to compare him with naxalites/terrorists. Unfortunate how we tolerate such rubbish about our national heroes.

  16. U fucker son of Gandhi , shaheed bhagat Singh shaved because he needs to do alot for his country well u. History proved that Sikh always sacrificed there selves for country for Hindus for poor and helpless people. But u shit can’t understand it because u guys are son of bitch.

  17. Bhagat Singh wrote, “Let me announce with all the strength at my command, that I am not a terrorist and I never was, expect perhaps in the beginning of my revolutionary career. And I am convinced that we cannot gain anything through those methods.”

, Bhagat Singh wrote during his trial, “Revolution did not necessarily involve sanguinary strife. It was not a cult of bomb and pistol. They may sometimes be mere means for its achievement. No doubt they play a prominent part in some movements, but they do not –for that very reason –become one and the same thing. A rebellion is not a revolution. It may ultimately lead to that end.”

You need to read his writings to understand him. You have merely a mainstream medi’s perspective on him. You don’t even know the correct age when he died. Please refrain from writing about things you don’t know about.

  18. It is certain that the freedom has not come about without doing anything. It needs both voilence and non- voilence effort, voilence as a threat and non voilence as a face saving for the occupier. But calling Bhagat Singh a cheat is shameful to you. The true fighters are always atheists who are not cowards to stay within the security of socail order.

  19. Those who think Gandhi has any role in freedom of India have read dictated history – Gandhi remains a psyche patient ….he was no where a normal human being. Had he been alive in 2015- he would be in some rehab or Tihar jail for his activities in his private life.

  20. First of all writer does not seem to be an intellectual as its not VICE ROY but viceroy then being athiest is not a crime. More on this being athiest is better than being religious and thereafter dividing the country on the basis of religions. And a 7 year boy who has seen his people murdered when protesting with peace in jallianwala bag is not obliged to follow gandhi. Brand gandhi was not monopoly.
Bhagat singh threw bomb where nobody was sitting harming none. And look outside India other nations have gain independence through “courage and bullets”. You say that Bhagat Singh cut his hairs which he should not have done but you forgot that Guru Gobind Singh started Khalsa and that was not for surrendering before enemies but to fight and bhagat singh never surrendered but fought with courage. Bhagat Singh did more pious and religious works than the people who claim themselves to be saint and religious, just wearing dhoti and growing beards is not religious. And at last martyrs are above religion and criticism like you have done. shame on you.
