Aam Aadmi Party, it seems, is destined for an ugly collapse! After the dirty infighting and the ugly spat between Yogendra Yadav-Prashant Bhushan and Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, it is the turn of Kumar Vishwas to trigger yet another controversy, of a more promiscuous kind.
According to latest reports, a woman volunteer of AAP has accused poet Kumar Vishwas of deliberately not paying attention to the rumours which romantically linked Kumar to her. It appears as if Kumar Vishwas was enjoying the link-up, even though it had no ground.
Kumar Vishwas has been summoned by the Delhi Commission for Women on this matter. According to them, the woman requested Kumar Vishwas to do something about the rumours which were going around about their ‘illicit relationship’. Kumar Vishwas, however, refused to consider the matter and let it fester. He failed, or rather chose to ignore the morally negative effect it was having on the woman AAP volunteer. She also submitted a complaint letter to the police commissioner of Delhi and also the CM of Delhi, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, as told by the DCW chairperson Barkha Shukla Singh.
This issue left Kumar Vishwas fuming and certain statements he made smelled of desperation: “she calls me her brother, this is not possible” and “That woman has emailed me. She has clearly written that ‘Bhaiya’ I have filed a complaint, what should I do next,” he said. Now, he says “this is a dirty politics which is being played by the rival parties.”
Kumar Vishwas has definitely lost it. For every crime committed by an AAP politician, there is a foreign hand! This is their standard defence. It is either the BJP or the Congress. They themselves can never commit an offence. They are like magnet to controversies right now.
The woman in question also said that Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal refused to listen to her and for all practical purposes, asked her to get out and deal with it. Well, she did and the case rests with the Delhi Commission for Women.
Kumar Vishwas has for a very long time succeeded in keeping his personal life under the wraps. He has portrayed an image of a family man who respects women more than anybody else. His hypocrisy has been exposed and its time he faced some tough questions. Wonder if he will recite poetry on his love and respect for women? You never know.
