100 days of the AAP Government are over and what should have been a prolonged honeymoon has turned out to be a troubled marriage, as the Arvind Kejriwal government completes hundred days. If we go through a flashback, there are 5 relevant points that sum up how bad was Arvind Kejriwal at his job.
Fight with Lieutenant Governer
Arvind Kejriwal is freshly fighting against the appointment of the first secretary, Shakuntala Gamlin, who was named by the Lt. Governer, Najeeb Jung. She is not even a long-term appointee, she is only filling in for a colleague on Najeeb Jung’s orders. Arvind Kejriwal is being racist and sexist in approach and he feels that he is the only person responsible for Delhi. He has forgotten all the other priorities and is being governed by his ego, paying all the precious attention of a chief minister on the insignificant issue of an appointment.
Suicide of a farmer
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is known for holding rallies, and in the 100 days of the Arvind Kejriwal government, they have done nothing else. In fact their rallies cause death. A farmer came down to the rally and ended up killing himself. The man, identified as Gajendra Singh Kalyanwat, climbed atop a tree with a broom in his hand and hanged himself with a towel, even as AAP leader Kumar Vishwas continued singing his poetry a few metres away. AAP was busy gaining publicity and Arvind Kejriwal took this incident as an opportunity to play his favourite blame game and proved to be a wrongly elected CM again.
Threatening the Media
Arvind Kejriwal has accused the media of taking ‘Supari’ against the AAP party, saying they are being paid to malign him. This reflects how he plays the politics of convenience. The media extensively covered his every move leading up to the Delhi polls, highlighting all his speeches day in and day out. He used the media to send across his message to the people and now that same media has suddenly become anti-Kejriwal. He must remember that it is the job of the media to report, not play according to Arvind Kejriwal’s rules.
No respect for Ladies
One of the founding members of Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Madhu Bhaduri, has quit the party alleging mistreatment of the women leaders. She said, “The party has a mentality of a khap panchayat. There is no space for women. If the other women leaders have any self-respect, they will quit too.”
Also, Kumar Vishwas has been reflecting his romantic self off late. Displaying cheap behaviour, he has been linked with many women, all ending up in shame for the women.
People forced out of party
Aam Aadmi Party leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan have been evicted from the party for voicing their independent opinion on multiple issues. Other leaders like Shazia Ilmi, Captain Gopinath, Kiran Bedi have also been shown the door for questioning Arvind Kejriwal. If people continue to be axed, the day is not far when it’ll have to rename itself as ‘Do-Char Aadmi ki Party’.
