A can of Coke is more injurious to our health than a pack of Maggi. Maggi is gone, but Coke is still around, reaping profits at the expense of our collective lack of common sense and stupidity!
Coca Cola was under the scanner way back in 2006, and continues to be under watch. It all started in 2006 when the New Delhi Center for Science and Environment (CSE) alleged that pesticide residues were found in Coca-Cola and the content was found to be 24 times higher than safety standards maintained by the Bureau of Indian Standards.
Such companies are so large and powerful that even the Government, at times, finds its hands tied. The financial contributions of these behemoths to the Indian economy are too critical to ignore. Perhaps, with a new Government in the center, investigations against such hazardous companies are likely to be re-opened!
That Coca Cola is laden with sugar is a known fact. The chemicals used in the aerated drink are so strong that it can be used as toilet cleaner! I bet you don’t know what it does to your body, though. I didn’t, either.

First 10 minutes

After 60 minutes
