The Benjamin Button of India our very own Mr. Perfectionist, Mr. Aamir Khan is afraid, something that his enormous image in the Bollywood cannot sustain. In the latest reports during a recent press conference Dibakar Banerjee the well known movie director revealed that he approached Aamir Khan with the role of villain in the forthcoming venture of Yash Raj Movies but Mr. Perfectionist denied for the role. As he is afraid of his younger counterparts in the industry.
The movie, which would have blessed by the presence of Aamir Khan was the much awaited movie Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. Actually earlier Aamir stated that he really wants to work with the celebrated director Dibakar Banerjee, but he turned down this offer. And Dibakar stated the reason behind the motives of Aamir in turning down the offer “Aamir was already doing another negative role in Dhoom 3 and he had just signed the film that time. He did not want to do two negative roles back to back”.
Really are we so naive that we could take this as the reason behind this issue. Or everyone is just too sophisticated to yell out the reality behind this move. Actually Aamir was afraid that the character he is being asked to play in the movie, which is the Detective Byomkesh Bakshi story will be only be seen in the shadows and masked till the climax. Oooohhh definitely the younger counterpart of Aamir, Sushant Singh Rajput is going to overshadow the superstar of the industry.
The character is not made powerful by the time period of its appearance in the movie, but is made powerful by the skills of the person playing it. Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the movie The Lunchbox played a role which done more than just supporting the lead actors and left a mark on the minds of viewers and that is the way one can do justice to the roles.
Aamir is a bigger star. Why would he even compromise for a young actor? It’s out of the question. Yes, that is the reason he cannot ruin his persona of a perfectionist. And is it even true that he is a perfectionist? Or he has just saved himself from taking risks? Doing one movie a year and we all are just awestruck by his such dedication towards the movie. It’s all just the Brand name that exists in Bollywood not the star quality and the fee they ask for is just for the enhancement of their brand.
