Kangana just needs to persist. Provided, of course, she is on the side of the truth. I have a feeling she’s being bullied.
It’s not easy at all for a self-made actor to take on a ‘khandaani name’. The Roshans are like the ‘Kapoors’ and the ‘Bachchans’. They can spin verdicts and influence decisions in the film fraternity, that’s how powerful they are. They can make and break, embrace and expel. They enjoy the privilege to come out of deep holes. Salman Khan of the ‘Khans’ is a classic example.
But hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. There is nothing as unpleasant as a woman who has been offended, or whose love has not been respected.
The feud between Hrithik and his Krrish 3 co-star turned nasty after they slapped legal notices on each other after Kangana called him his ‘silly ex’. Hrithik, who was the first to send the legal notice, has demanded that she apologise in a press conference and clear the air about their alleged affair, which he firmly denies it ever existed.
Kangana, 29, said she was not a “dim-witted” teenager and refused to tender any apology. She instead shot off a counter-notice to Hrithik warning him to take back his notice or face a criminal case. In her latest deposition, Kangana has produced reportedly irrefutable proof that Hrithik sent her emails related to their relationship.
Horse-nosed Hrithik Roshan recently mentioned that the chances of him dating a pope are much higher than the women the media is linking him up with. He was clearly talking about Kangana. Such statements are unbecoming of a middle-aged, expectedly mature, human being.
Images from the past, sightings, media reports and close sources have no doubt that the relationship existed. The star, obsessed with a clean image, ended the affair on a sour note. Perhaps, Hrithik needs to man up. Kangana’s ouster from ‘Aashiqui 3’ was allegedly due to Hrithik’s intervention. Suddenly, she has no takers in the industry.
The actor is making the ‘National award’ winner look like a hopeless stalker. Treating her with such disdain will only alienate Hrithik’s millions of fans. They wouldn’t want to look up to a man who has little respect for women.
Perhaps, a weaker woman might have withdrawn and apologised. Or stayed silent. But like inspirational author Shannon L. Alder said: “Staying silent is like a slow growing cancer to the soul and a trait of a true coward. There is nothing intelligent about not standing up for yourself. You may not win every battle. However, everyone will at least know what you stood for—YOU.”
