Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi Party are champions at devising ways and means to amass ill-gotten wealth. The latest scheme that the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Government has floated is aimed at making them richer, not put a roof over the poor’s head.
‘Housing scheme for the poor’ sounds very pro-poor and a novel idea but at the end of the day, will the underprivileged have a structure that he can call home, or will the money earned by the sweat of their brow be used to boost Akhilesh Yadav’s affluence and prosperity?
Only when one takes a closer look does one realise how the scheme has been devised to only benefit the party in power. The idea is for the poor but the paradox is that the scheme was launched at a five-star hotel. Couldn’t the Government have been more sensitive and organised the launch of the scheme at a location more suitable to the poor? This five-star mentality of Akhilesh Yadav, and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav, is not new. The scheme is an insult to the poor, who are shell-shocked at the insensitive and cold attitude of the state.
The most troubling factor is the monthly instalment of 34,000 that the poor will have to shell out. Is Akhilesh Yadav mocking, ridiculing the poor? Is his mental faculty completely devoid of any sense? Is he completely mad? Where will he bring the money from, month after month, every month? The State of Uttar Pradesh will continue to decay if leaders like Akhilesh Yadav rule the roost!
Remember the vulgar performances by Bollywood celebrities at Saifai Mahotsav? Akhilesh Yadav and Mulayam defended the show, saying it was a cultural representation of UP and no one should have a problem. In the pretext of doing it to give exposure to the village people, Samajwadi Party wasted the taxpayer’s money to satisfy their own sexual fantasies! The cultural extravaganza was condemned more so as it was organised soon after the Muzaffarnagar riots.
Akhilesh Yadav, getting attacked from all corners, went into damage control mode and ended up making a bigger fool out of himself. He reduced the amount to 10,000-13,000 and increased the number of months, thereby raising the interest rate! We know Akhilesh Yadav is not well educated, he is a wannabe young leader and thinks distributing free laptops will wash away his sins of the past.
Akhilesh Yadav is mocking samajwad’ (socialism) as well. There is everything anti-samajwad in his vision to house the poor.
